High School Career & Technical Education
Carson High School offers fifteen programs of study across nine National Career Clusters, including those aligned with high skill, high demand careers. Students in Career and Technical Education (CTE) earn Industry Recognized Credentials and participate in a variety of Work-based Learning activities as a part of their CTE experience.
Middle School Career and Technical Education
Middle School Career & Technical Education (CTE) lays the foundation for student success by providing early career exploration, skill development, foundations for advanced learning, and career readiness.
Skill Development: Middle School CTE courses provide students with practical skills and hands-on experience in various trades and professions. These skills are not only valuable for future careers but also for everyday life, fostering a sense of independence and competence.
Foundation for Advanced Learning: Middle school CTE lays the groundwork for more advanced technical and pre-professional education in high school. Students who participate in middle school CTE are better prepared for high school CTE programs, which can lead to certifications, apprenticeships, and further education.
Career Readiness: Early exposure to CTE helps students understand the connection between education and careers. This understanding encourages students to set goals and develop a clear pathway to achieve them, making them more career-ready by the time they graduate.
