School Board
The Carson City School Board is comprised of seven members elected by the people. They serve four-year terms and are elected from individual single member districts on a staggered basis. Members annually elect their president, vice president, and clerk.
The Carson City School Board appoints and evaluates the superintendent, sets goals, adopts policies, approves the annual budget, and represents the interest of the people and schools that reside in their district.
