Seeliger Elementary Students will improve their achievement in mathematics, reading and writing. The desired goal is for all students to attain proficient scores within three years.

Objectives

  • Provide Standards training for all staff.

  • Utilize ability grouping for math and language arts in the intermediate grades.

  • Provide extra-curricular remediation program.

  • Incorporate Daily Oral Math/Language and Mountain Math/Language programs.

  • Implement Accelerated Math and Reading programs in grades 1-5.

  • Expand Reading Recovery program.

  • Implement and expand Early Literacy program.

  • Provide Traits writing training for all staff.

Seeliger Elementary School will be a safe learning environment that promotes positive attitudes and provides a proactive approach to violence prevention.


Objectives

  • Complete and implement Emergency Plan Templates and classroom kits.

  • Repair/replace asphalt on playground and parking areas.

  • Practice emergency response procedures.

  • Upgrade telephone/communication system.

  • Complete update of HLAY 2000 materials.

  • Expand SAP group program.

  • Expand anti-violence, anti-drug reward program.

  • Select and implement character education Kindness Always program.

  • Upgrade door lock/security system.
