Last Wednesday, 34 juniors and seniors from Carson High School (CHS) took a tour of the University of Nevada – Reno’s (UNR) campus and received their college identification cards. In partnership with the UNR, CHS offers the dual credit EDU 110 course for students interested in pursuing a teaching career.

When schools in Carson City open for the 2018-2019 school year Monday, August 20, the Carson City School District will be connected to a 24/7/365 (24-hour, 7-days-a-week, 365-days-per-year) safety tool. SafeVoice is a live tip reporting system for school safety and student well-being offered in partnership by the Nevada Departments of Education, the Nevada Department of Public Safety and, more locally, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office to all K-12 schools, students, parents and community members in Nevada.

06-15-17 Pedaling Books During Summer School
The Carson City Library’s Pedal Library will be busy delivering books to students attending summer school. Now through the end of June, the teardrop trailer pulled behind a bike will provide up to 60 pounds of books at each elementary school within the Carson City School District. The mobile library will be offering mobile wifi and charging station soon.
