 Winners 04-26-17 Employee & Educator of the Year
Bridget Gordon and Tedra "Teddy" Cook were honored as the Carson City School District's Classified Employee and Educator of the Year, respectively. They were selected from 25 candidates including 11 teachers and 14 classified employees. 
 Jedi Engineers 04-25-17 Jedi Engineer's Win 3rd Place at World Championship
Eagle Valley Middle School's FIRST LEGO League (FLL) team, The Jedi Engineers, win 3rd place in Core Values Award  for Teamwork and become the first northern Nevada Team to win an award at a World Championship. More than 15,000 students from 33 countries attended.
 Step Into Spring 04-11-17 Step Into Spring
Carson City School District’s McKinney-Vento Students in Transition ‘Step Into Spring’ program will provide 352 pairs of new shoes to pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students in transition. Students in Transition are those individuals who lack a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence.

Carson City School District, in partnership with McKinstry, a national leader in designing, constructing, operating, and managing high-performance buildings, has begun a series of building modernizations that will save the district $357,000 annually through reduced utility and operational costs.

...The Carson City School District (CCSD) is pleased to announce it meets or exceeds the minimum number of minutes taught per day and in turn will not be required to make up student days lost due to weather or uncontrollable circumstances.

The Carson City School District (CCSD) is pleased to announce the appointment two new principals for the 2017-2018 school year: Mrs. Lisa Hutchison as the new principal of Bordewich Bray Elementary School and Dr. Jennifer Ward-DeJoseph as the new principal of Fremont Elementary School.

Nevada Ready 02-28-17  Nevada Ready 21 Digital Learning Day 
At 11 a.m. on the senate floor, state officials will recognize and introduce students from Carson Middle School, Churchill County Middle School and Eagle Valley Middle School for their efforts in infusing technology as part of their daily educational experience.
