Carson City School District is pleased to announce Miss Ashley Figueroa, a junior at Carson High School, as winner of the State Fire Prevention & Awareness Poster contest for the High School category. Figueroa will be honored with her poster placed on billboards in the Elko, Reno/Sparks, Carson City and Las Vegas areas.

Because the accepted understanding in the healthcare industry is all medical related professions will become fluent in HIM technology the new class teaches students how to handle and use patient health records and medical information electronically. HIM will be integrated into the Pharmacy Practice, Sports Medicine and EMT curriculums already being taught at the school.

06-15-17 Pedaling Books During Summer School
The Carson City Library’s Pedal Library will be busy delivering books to students attending summer school. Now through the end of June, the teardrop trailer pulled behind a bike will provide up to 60 pounds of books at each elementary school within the Carson City School District. The mobile library will be offering mobile wifi and charging station soon.
