Cyber Safety

CCSD is committed to promoting a safe and healthy "cyber climate" for all students.  This site is designed to provide a central location for resources to support parents in a world of ever-changing technology.
SafeVoice Nevada
Students, parents, and faculty throughout Nevada now have access to SafeVoice Nevada, an anonymous reporting system used to report threats to the safety or well-being of students.

The SafeVoice Nevada App is available for iOS and Android or call SafeVoice Nevada at 1-833-216-SAFE (7233)
Reporting Safety Concerns
We encourage all parents and community members to help keep kids safe by reporting any safety concerns or suspicious online behavior. This can include things such as harassment, threats to harm others, suicide, stalking, or potential abuse of a child.

EMERGENCIES: (Serious Threats, Suicide, Abuse, Imminent Danger, etc.)  Call 9-1-1 or your local Sheriff or Police Department.

NON-URGENT CONCERNS: Contact your child's school to report the incident.

You may also use SafeVoice Nevada to anonymously report threats to the safety or well-being of students.
Cellphones
Cell phones are amazing devices but all children need support and guidance related to the safe and healthy use of a personal phone.  "Smartphones" provide Internet access either through cellular service or a WiFi connection. Many mobile devices can access the Internet through a WiFi connection even without cellular service. In CCSD, we have Internet filters on our wired and WiFi networks, but students can still access the Internet through unfiltered cellular service on their Internet-capable devices. There are many parental control products available on the market to help parents/guardians monitor and control their child's Internet activity.

See the resources below to help support your student to use their phone wisely.
