The Carson City School District has brought together a diverse cross section of community members to serve on the Strategic Advisory Committee.  The purpose of the Strategic Advisory Committee is to generate ideas, analyze alternatives and make recommendations to Superintendent Richard Stokes.  Mr. Stokes will in turn make recommendations to the Board of Trustees on topics that could have short and/or long term impacts on the District.

The Strategic Advisory Committee represents major stakeholders in the Carson community and was created based on direction from the Board of Trustees who emphasized the need for a broad base of participants from throughout the community.

Joe Cacioppo will be the community leader facilitating the meetings.  Mr. Cacioppo will be supported by District staff.  The Committee will report recommendations to be the Superintendent.

Meetings will be held on the 1st and 3rd Monday at Gleason Professional Development Center ; 604 West Musser Street from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
