Thank you for your interest in the Carson City School District. Your application will be carefully considered in the area(s) of your preparation, preference and license, once it is completely processed.

As part of our selection process, we objectively rate the education and teaching experience of all applicants. Consequently, it is to the advantage of the applicant to make certain his or her file contains the following information:

___ Current application form: Please do not omit any item.

___ All transcripts. We require official transcripts.

___ College placement file or five letters of reference.

___ Copy of applicant's current teaching license or certificate; or an explanation in case this item cannot be supplied.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to make certain that his or her file is kept current and complete. Failure to supply the Carson City School District Human Resources Department with the above mentioned items will result in the applicant being ineligible for employment consideration.

Teacher Licensure may be obtained through the Nevada State Department of Education. Information and application for licensure may be obtained through the Nevada State Department of Education, 700 E. Fifth Street, Carson City, Nevada 89701, or at (775) 687-9115. Please write directly to the licensure clerk for specific information regarding a license. The licensing office requires official transcripts to evaluate status. In all cases, it is the responsibility of the teacher to obtain a proper license.
