There will be a lot of new buildings at Carson Middle School in 2008.
Construction is being done to give the students and staff more room as well as to get
rid of all of the portable buildings that are being used for classes. The anticipated
completion date for all of the construction is approximately August of 2008. Hopefully, this will give
one month before the start of school, for teachers to have time to move into their new classrooms. The entrance to the school will have
an electric buzzer that all school visitors will have to go through before they can enter the school. The overall school will be more secure and have better technology throughout. All classrooms will have a smart board and projector as well as an enhanced audio system. There will be a new, larger cafeteria as well as a performance center for the band and choir. The entire school will be enclosed so students will no longer have to walk outside to get to class. There will be two school wide computer labs that will be used for testing. 8th grade science labs will also be updated.
